Robin Rastenberger is a Stockholm-raised, Tokyo-based soundscape producer, singer/songwriter, and runway model. Born into a musically diverse and classically trained family, he started out early as a cellist, branching out into contemporary vocal work and production ca 2010, singing on commercial tracks and collaborating with art exhibits and fashion projects, both locally and abroad. Drawing inspiration from natural sounds, folk music, electronica, sound therapy, and classical music, Robin has produced and/or performed for fashion lookbooks, runway, commercial, movie, and art installations, at establishments such as Vogue FNO, Amazon Fashion Week, Laforet Harajuku, Calzedonia, and Newsian to name a few. Excelling in looping devices, he transforms and layers raw vocals with rhythmic voice percussion, essentially forcing them into a state of meditative trance, whilst preserving the genuine timbre and allowing the sounds to breathe.
